At 0317 hours on May 26, 2026, all Scituate Stations with Rescue 2 were dispatched to Talbut Road for a reported house fire. Tanker 61, Brush 63, and Unit 68 responded.

First arriving companies from Hope & Jackson Fire Company transmitted a code red and reported a well involved 2 story wood frame dwelling with all occupants evacuated.

Due to structural collapses that had occurred prior to arrival of the fire department, members operated exterior only.

13 members from Chopmist Hill responded and operated on the scene for 4 hours.

Willie Woodhead Road Brushfire

On the evening of May 20, 2026, Brush 63 and Tanker 61 responded mutual aid to the Town of Glocester to assist with a 4 acre brush fire on Willie Woodhead Road. 8 members responded and 3 remained for district coverage.

On the evening of March 20, 2026, Brush 63 and Tanker 61 responded mutual aid to the Town of Glocester to assist with a 4 acre brush fire on Willie Woodhead Road. 8 members responded and 3 remained for district coverage.

Tanker 61 and Brush 63 also responded to assist Glocester with a similar sized brush fire on Wednesday, April 13th on Saw Mill Road. 6 members responded to this incident with 9 remaining for district coverage.

George Washington Highway House Fire

At 0501 hours May 4, 2026, all Scituate stations were dispatched to George Washington Highway for a report of a house fire. Initial caller who was passing by reported that half of the house was involved.

At 0501 hours May 4, 2026, all Scituate stations were dispatched to George Washington Highway for a report of a house fire. Initial caller who was passing by reported that half of the house was involved.

Tanker 61 and Unit 68 responded along with Ladder 22, Engine 41, Engine 52, Rescue 1, and Rescue 2.

While companies were responding, a second 911 call was received reporting that there may be an occupant trapped. With the reports received, a RIT team and a Tanker Task Force were requested as a precaution bringing in apparatus from Johnston, Smithfield, Foster, Glocester, Burrillville, and Coventry.

Chief 50 arrived confirming a code red, fire showing from a single story wood frame ranch. Tanker 61 arrived and stretched a line to the front door, making entry for extinguishment and to conduct a primary search for victims.

After the main body of fire was knocked down and members continued the primary search, a member of Tanker 61 fell through the first floor into the basement in the fire room. A mayday was called and the member was removed from the hole by others working in the immediate area. He was removed from the house and transported to the hospital with minor injuries. He has been released and is recovering at home.

Primary and secondary searches were completed with no victims found. The home was determined to be unoccupied.

Companies remained on scene for 3.5 hours. 12 members from Chopmist Hill responded.

Structure Fire Old Quarry Road

At 1530 hours yesterday afternoon, Tanker 61 responded mutual aid to the Town of Glocester to assist with a structure fire on Old Quarry Road.

At 1530 hours March 5, 2026, Tanker 61 responded mutual aid to the Town of Glocester to assist with a structure fire on Old Quarry Road. First due companies reported smoke showing from the roofline of a 2 story wood with fire in the attic.

Tanker 61’s driver remained with the truck to assist with a tanker shuttle operation while the crew of 4 assisted with overhaul and extinguishment.

8 members responded to this incident and operated on the scene for 2.5 hours. While they were out of Town, 2 members remained at the Station and responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 102 and Route 6.

Glocester Snake Hill Rd.

At 0956 hours February 9, 2026, Tanker 61 responded to Glocester to assist with a house fire on Snake Hill Road. This fire rose to 4 alarms, bringing in resources from all over the north end of the state.

Tanker 61 responded with a crew of 4 and operated on the scene for 3.5 hours. An additional 4 members remained at Station 60 to cover the district.

Glocester Barn Fire

At 0715 hours, February 1, 2026, Tanker 61 responded mutual aid to the Town of Glocester for a barn fire on Putnam Pike.

Tanker 61’s crew assisted with overhaul and extinguishment while the driver assisted with a water shuttle operation. First arriving companies reported a fully involved 100x35 barn with exposure issues.

On Wednesday, January 28th at 0800 hours, Tanker 61 responded mutual aid to the Town of Coventry to assist with a structure fire. First due companies arrived to find fire showing from a single story wood frame structure.

The crew of Tanker 61 assisted with overhaul while the driver remained with the truck to assist with water supply operations.

5 members responded and operated for 1.5 hours.

At 1230 hours on 12/16/25, Tanker 61 responded mutual aid to the Town of Glocester to assist with a working fire on Putnam Pike in the West Glocester Fire and Rescue district.

At 1055 hours this morning, Tanker 61 responded mutual aid to the Town of Foster for a house fire on Foster Center Road.

First arriving companies from Foster reported a Code Red with smoke showing from a single-story log cabin. The fire was quickly found and extinguished in the cellar.

Garage Fire - Gleaner Chapel

At 1055 hours this morning, Tanker 61 responded mutual aid to the Town of Foster for a house fire on Foster Center Road.

At 0145 hours this morning, all Scituate Stations were dispatched to the 200 block of Gleaner Chapel Road for a reported garage fire. Engine 62, Tanker 61, and Brush 63 responded, along with apparatus from North Scituate Fire Department L22 SH1 T21 R1, Potterville Volunteer Fire Department, and Hope & Jackson Fire Company.

Chopmist Hill Fire Car 301 arrived on scene, reporting a fully involved two-car garage with collapse, a vehicle involved in the driveway, and exposure to a nearby residence and propane tank. Quick action prevented the fire from extending to the residence. 11 Members responded and operated on scene for 1.5 hours.

Note: The attached helmet cam shows conditions found upon Engine 62’s arrival as the Officer conducted a 360-degree size-up.

At 1512 hours this afternoon, all Scituate Stations were dispatched to the 200 block of Elmdale Road for a reported barn fire. Engine 62 and Tanker 61 responded. First-arriving companies found a fully involved chicken coop in the rear yard. 9 Members operated at this incident for 1 hour.
